Visual field coverage determines how much of the visual cortex map is stimulated. Larger stimuli (=higher visual field coverage) that cover more of the visual field activate a larger portion. For reconstruction research this matters greatly. When stimuli cover more of the visual field, voxels carry more fine-grained visual information, particularly in early visual cortex.
