We started self-hosting about a year ago. We’ve got Proxmox Virtual Environment set up on our home server with containers for a Turnkey Linux File Server, a Turnkey Linux Media Server running Jellyfin, photo management using Immich, a Syncthing server, and home automations using Home Assistant. Eventually my research led me to .NET Native AOT. Normally C# gets compiled into an intermediate language that only gets compiled down to platform-native code on-demand via the common language runtime.
